Harmony in duality. Two identical volumes seamlessly meld into a singular bowl, separated by a gap defining their union. The arrangement of these components results in the formation of either a shallow or deep variation of the bowl.
The name of the bowl refers to the distinctive detail created by hollowing out the wood, revealing an intriguing interplay between the solidity of the material and the void within the curvature.
For ÆTHER/MASS, collaboration multiplies what is possible by getting access to the skills that have been mastered by others. For the making of this object, we worked closely together with CasimirAteliers, master woodworkers specialised in high-end solid wooden furniture.
